MixProof and MixProof Companion respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be accessed or processed by the application and how that information is used.

Information Accessed

  • Audio files selected by the user
  • Microphone or audio input devices
  • Local network connectivity
  • Application settings and preferences stored locally on the device

Local Audio Processing

Audio analysis and processing are performed locally on the device whenever possible.

Audio files and microphone input are used solely to provide the application's core functionality.

Local Network Discovery

The application may use UDP multicast communication on the local network to automatically discover and connect Companion devices or server instances running on the same network.

  • Discovery operates only within the user's local network
  • No personal information is transmitted to external servers
  • The feature exists solely to simplify pairing and communication between MixProof and its Companion components

Data Sharing

The application does not sell user data.

The application does not share personal information with third parties except when required for essential functionality such as:

  • Application updates
  • Crash reporting
  • Licensing systems
  • Services explicitly enabled by the user

Permissions

Depending on platform and features used, the application may request permissions including:

  • Microphone access — used for audio capture and analysis
  • File/media access — used to open user-selected audio files
  • Network access — used for Companion connectivity, updates, or synchronization

Data Storage

Application settings and temporary processing data may be stored locally on the device.

Users remain responsible for managing and backing up their own files and projects.
